Appeal tips

Send at least 2-3 weeks before May 1. Offices process appeals throughout April -- later requests get less attention.
Address the financial aid director by name (find it on the school's website).
Attach documentation: tax returns, medical bills, termination letters, competing offer letters.
Be specific about the dollar amount you need. Do NOT just ask for 'more aid.'
